Tips for Cutting Cheese
As an amateur, I have made several mistakes when handling cheese. So I would like to take the time to give you some tips so that you don’t repeat them like I did.
- Cut the cheese when placing it on a plate.
- I recommend that you do not use a saw, either a cheese knife or a slicer.
- Move the knife back and forth when cutting the cheese. The cheese will not stick.

Proper Knife Usage
1 Use a soft cheese knife to facilitate cutting soft or semi-cured cheese. Soft cheese knives have long, sharp blades with pointed tips. In addition, they have holes in the blade to prevent the cheese from sticking to the knife. Place the knife on the long side of the cheese and slice it while pressing hard against the block.

This will allow the grooves in the planer to cut through the cheese.

You can also use dental floss. Simply slide the wire or floss over the piece and you will get a thick, even piece.
